STEP TOGETHER: The Joy of Flying
Stepping Together sounds simple. It rarely is. Most of us were taught to lead or follow, speak or stay quiet, decide or defer.
Stepping Together asks something different. It asks us to stay present without controlling. To remain connected without disappearing.
Think about the last time you were in a group and felt the pull, the moment when you sensed something was asking you to respond.
Should I speak now?
Should I wait?
Is this my place to move, or someone else’s?
That moment matters.
In a murmuration, no bird pauses to ask who’s in charge. Each one pays attention to what is closest and adjusts in real time. The movement works not because there is certainty, but because there is trust.
For humans, Stepping Together often begins with discomfort. Letting go of being right. Releasing the urge to lead the moment. Staying in the conversation when it would be easier to Step Back. This is where Awareness becomes relational. Where Beliefs are tested in real time. And where we choose to Connect.
Stepping Together is not passive. It is an active choice to align while remaining fully yourself. It is how ME stays intact, WE stays honest, and US begins to take shape. This is the joy of flying together.
